Speaker: Mr. Carl W. Heinlein, ARM, CSP, OHST Senior Safety Consultant, American Contractors Insurance Group, Inc. (ACIG)
Topic: Serious Injury and Fatality (SIF)
In order to further the efforts of saving lives and preventing serious injuries, the construction industry is committed to developing a framework of education on SIF, accurately classifying the events that have SIF potential, identifying the precursors to those SIF events and developing effective intervention strategies to positively control those precursors.
Speaker Bio: Mr. Heinlein holds an MS in Safety Management from West Virginia University. He has been in the EHS profession for over 25 years and is a noted international speaker, lecturer and author. Prior to joining ACIG, Mr. Heinlein was the National Safety & Health Director for the Associated General Contractors of America.
Mr. Heinlein is a National Board Director for the American Society of Safety Engineers. He is also an active member with the National Safety Council, American Industrial Hygiene Association, and a past Delegate of the International Network of Safety and Health Practitioners Organization. The titles he is proudest of are Father, Coach and Friend.
